In 2006, Canada’s national newspaper The Globe and Mail described Evelyn Garriss as "A 'weather whisperer;... who’s clients are laughing all the way to the bank." In 1996 the Wall Street Journal named her one of the “Winners of 1996,” Evelyn Garriss has spent over thirty years as a business consultant, editor and author explaining the impact of changing climate on economic and social trends.
She has taught professional seminars in every major city in the United States as well as Canada, England, Latin America and the Pacific Islands. Her audiences have been as diverse as the 5th Army Office of Civil Emergency Preparedness, the Texas A & M’s Beef Cattle Short Course, Texas Christian University as well as Carilec organization of Latin American electrical utilities, and the Atlantic investment conference. Additionally she has worked extensively with regional US and Canadian branches of the World Presidents' Organization, the Young Presidents' Organization and The Executive Committee business organizations. She has even appeared on radio shows such as "The investment Hour".
For the past twenty years she has lectured and/or conducted international seminars for public utilities, as well as private investment, insurance, commodities, banking, publishing, hardware and transportation businesses. She has also served on the advisory board for different investment organizations.
